Here’s a new update from professional social media platform LinkedIn. It has added a new feature, Your Commute for every job seeker helping them know the time required to reach their destination. This adroit marketing endeavor on part of LinkedIn will help the platform gain more followers.
The business media platform has integrated with Microsoft, its parent organisation and has relied on Bing Maps for its navigation function. The Bing Maps will provide job seekers “deep-set” time estimation.
“Our recent survey reveals that about 85% of LinkedIn members like to know how far their prospective job destinations are. With Your Commute, now they will know each day at what time they can reach the place,” commented the Chief Marketing Head of LinkedIn.
“Your Commute” will help LinkedIn participants estimate a potential commute time period irrespective of the transportation medium he or she chooses. Whether the individual selects to walk or drive or even avail public vehicles, he/she will have the right estimation of arrival at workplace.
One of the board members of LinkedIn said, “We are taking our digital marketing campaign a notch higher with this commuting feature. Moreover, it is easy to use and understanding the navigation also will prove effective for every user.”
Users will find Your Commute on this business media platform’s Job Detail page. Selecting their designated position, they need to operate a “See your Commute” tool on the page and thus, will finally retrieve accurate arrival estimation details.
The feature will guide job seekers by providing estimation based on their starting point. Users will receive an expected departure time along with time of the day. Additionally, the map will generate the fastest travelling route making their journey more convenient. When users will avail different transportation modes then they can toggle through the tool and check their duration for reaching the destination.
Augmenting the digital marketing competition by introducing this effective commute feature, LinkedIn aims to solve potential commuters’ problems in future.
