Adfactors PR is once again leading the nominations tally at SABRE Awards – Asia Pacific with 15 nominations as compared to any other Indian PR consultancy (Edelman received 7 nominations while Genesis BM and MSL received 6 each). Infact, Adfactors PR, has also been successful in getting more nominations than any other independent firm based in Asia, including Dentsu of Japan and Bluefocus of China. In the overall tally, the consultancy is only behind multinational network firms – Ogilvy (23), Weber Shandwick (16) and Edelman (16).
This is an achievement not only for Adfactors PR but also for Indian PR fraternity as well as most global PR firms file their nominations from multiple countries, adding up to their total tally of nominations. While in the case of Adfactors PR all the nominations were submitted from the home country.
Other firms with multiple finalists include Burson-Marsteller (7); Golin, In.Fom and Ruder Finn (8 each); FleishmanHillard, including its BlueCurrent unit (7); BlueFocus Digital, Hill+Knowlton Strategies and Text 100 (5 each); and EON: The Stakeholder Relations Group and Strategic Public Relations Group (5 each).
The finalists were selected from among more than 1,500 entries from over 20 countries in the APAC region. The winners will be announced and presented at the 2016 Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards evening ceremony in Hong Kong on 28 September.
Adfactors PR is India’s largest public relations consultancy. Recently the firm appointed Roger Darashah, an international PR veteran who has spent much of this recent career at Edelman, as their new chief operating officer. Roger happens to be the first senior expat hire at India’s biggest PR firm. Adfactors is the only Indian agency to rank among the world’s top 100 PR firms, after sustained growth in recent years, including geographic expansion to Dubai, Singapore and Sri Lanka. According to the co-founder, Madan Bahal, the firm will be sharing more such new announcements in the coming months.
